Do you know how to sketch on a canvas? I got commissioned to do a couple Portraits of Pat on a couple different canvases , but normal sketching techniques don't work the same on campus and i'm having a hard time. 😢 should I paint the canvas first to fill in those tiny gaps/bumps/grooves or is there a different technique? Edit: not commissioned (that requires getting paid) my very close friend asked me to for there husband's birthday and I (like the nice but not smart) friends that I am said "Sure! I'll be glad to!" 😅😫

Sorry, I have a small question, if I use the Fabriano paper which I have , I can get a good result with four colors after blend them.
